The London to Bath and Back record.

In 1981 John Woodburn set the Road Records Association Record for London to Bath and back. He covered the 211 miles in just 9 hours, 3 minutes and 7 seconds. A time so formidable that it has stood for over 28 years unchallenged. This my training blog as I attempt the break the record.

I'm doing a half trial run tomorrow, just from London to Bath. I'll be getting the train back due to time constraints which is ironic since the idea to be able to complete the journey within my family life style.

Naturally in order to feel fresh, I've just done a brutal traing session on the turbo and I'm still wide awake at 1am.

In truth it is just a 4-5 hour ride, I've done plenty before, but the results will reveal where I've got to and how far I have to go. I'll never be pleased with where I've got to, and I'm worried about how far I have to go.
