The London to Bath and Back record.

In 1981 John Woodburn set the Road Records Association Record for London to Bath and back. He covered the 211 miles in just 9 hours, 3 minutes and 7 seconds. A time so formidable that it has stood for over 28 years unchallenged. This my training blog as I attempt the break the record.

Blimey

With a few long rides incorporating sprints and a turbo session of 1 hour at threshold, I'm well and truely cream crackered. To day is rest day and I need it. I really felt so below par I was going to take the day off work. A combination of training and the little boy waking through night has left me exhausted.

My night rides of 2 to 3 hours have been down to Sevenoaks and back, I could make a loop in the summer but at the moment I need to stick to the well lit roads.

Just for fun and to see if anyone reads this drivel I don't spend enough time writing I have included a link to short video of my training exercises I do at home in spare moments. I took them to play with the video editing software. Still should elicit some comments so I'll know if anyone is out there.Click here - Home excerises video
